The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is set to take place as planned from December 3 to December 6 at the Yas Marina Circuit. This event will serve as the official conclusion to the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship season.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula One, confirmed that preparations for the season finale are moving forward according to the established schedule. He emphasized the championship’s commitment to the current calendar and noted that the city is ready to host the final race in an exceptional atmosphere, supported by a wide range of accompanying entertainment and hospitality experiences.
Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Under-Secretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, highlighted that the emirate has hosted Formula 1 events since 2009. He stated that this long-standing partnership reflects Abu Dhabi’s global status and its proven capacity to successfully manage major international sporting events. Furthermore, he noted that the Grand Prix plays a vital role in boosting the local tourism, hospitality, and events sectors by drawing a global audience to the region.
Saif Rashid Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara, reported that race preparations are progressing smoothly. He affirmed that his organization is working closely with Formula 1 and various partners across the emirate to ensure a high-quality experience for all drivers, teams, and fans attending the event.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix remains one of the most significant rounds on the Formula 1 calendar, blending intense track competition at the Yas Marina Circuit with a diverse array of concerts and events across Yas Island. As the season finale, the event is designed to integrate sport, tourism, and entertainment into a world-class experience for international visitors.
