Bangladesh have finalized a 16-member squad for their historic maiden bilateral ODI series against Australia, featuring the inclusion of uncapped players Disha Biswas and Habiba Islam Pinky. Disha, who previously captained the Bangladesh Under-19 team, awaits her senior international debut, while Habiba carries a single T20I cap from a May 2024 encounter against India into the setup.

The squad also welcomes back Murshida Khatun, Sanjida Akter Meghla, and Dilara Akter. Murshida, who recently represented the Emerging team in South Africa, last played for the senior side during the January 2025 West Indies tour. Sanjida, who holds two ODI caps, and Dilara, who has appeared in three ODIs—most recently during the April 2025 World Cup Qualifier in Pakistan—are both expected to bolster the lineup.

Nigar Sultana Joty will continue to captain the side, with Nahida Akter serving as her deputy. The team’s pace bowling attack will be spearheaded by Marufa Akter, Ritu Moni, Disha, and Habiba. In a reshuffling of the roster, Juairiya Ferdous, Sumaiya Akter, Fahima Khatun, and Fariha Islam have been excluded from the touring party.

The squad is scheduled to depart for Australia on October 3. The three-match ODI series will take place entirely at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane, with matches slated for October 9, 11, and 14. Full squad: Nigar Sultana Joty (c), Nahida Akter (vc), Shorna Akter, Marufa Akter, Rabeya Khan, Ritu Moni, Sobhana Mostary, Sarmin Sultana, Sharmin Akter Supta, Sanjida Akter Meghla, Sultana Khatun, Dilara Akter, Farzana Haque, Disha Biswas, Murshida Khatun, and Habiba Islam Pinky.
