In the second round of the National Cricket League, Dhaka took an unconventional approach by using all 11 players as bowlers during their match against Sylhet. Even captain Mahidul Islam, who usually keeps wickets, bowled an over—marking his first time bowling in 263 professional matches, including first-class, List A, and recognized T20 formats. This occurrence marks the seventh instance of 11 bowlers being used in a single first-class innings. The match at the Sylhet International Stadium appears headed for a draw, with play still ongoing in the second innings after three days. Dhaka declared their first innings at 547/6. In response, Sylhet reached 431/5 by the end of the third day, led by Asadullah Al Galib’s 89 and an unbeaten 81 from Ashraful Hassan. Other notable contributions included 65 from captain Zakir Hasan and 60 from Saikat Ali.

Rajshahi significantly reduced their risk of an innings defeat at Mirpur after a strong start in their second innings. After being bowled out for just 119 in their first innings against Khulna’s 484, Rajshahi showed resilience on the third day. Openers Habibur Rahman and Sabbir Hossain built a 126-run partnership, with Habibur falling just 10 runs short of a century. Sabbir scored 88, followed by Naim Ahmed with 69. Rajshahi closed the day at 300/3, trailing Khulna by 65 runs.

In Cox’s Bazar, Barishal is fighting to avoid an innings defeat against Chittagong. Resuming at 479/4, Chittagong finished their first innings at 576, highlighted by a century from Irfan Sukkur, who started the day on 92. Facing a massive deficit, Barishal finished the third day at 149/4, still trailing by 145 runs despite a top score of 74 from captain Iftekhar Hossain.

Meanwhile, at the Sylhet Academy Ground, Rangpur extended their lead over Mymensingh to 322 runs, ending the third day at 195/6. Mymensingh was earlier bowled out for 295, with Khalid Hasan scoring 72 and Abu Hider adding 52, despite resuming the day at 183/6.
