Barcelona staged a commanding comeback against Galatasaray, responding to an early setback with four unanswered goals to secure a 4-1 victory on the road. The result maintains the Spanish side’s impressive form, marking their tenth consecutive win across all competitions, including eight in La Liga and two in the UEFA Champions League.
The hosts initially took the lead in the 28th minute through Aleksey Batrakov. The goal came after Rafael Leao played a ball to Batrakov, whose shot deflected off Joao Cancelo before finding the back of the net. Although Galatasaray threatened to double their lead shortly after, an offside ruling kept the scoreline in Barcelona’s favor. Barcelona eventually leveled the score in the 43rd minute when Cancelo capitalized on an opening left by Anthony Gordon, who stepped away from Dani Olmo’s shot, allowing Cancelo to finish at the far post.
Hansi Flick’s side took complete control following the halftime break. Fermin Lopez put the visitors in front in the 50th minute, converting a precise cross from Lamine Yamal. Only three minutes later, Yamal turned provider once more, setting up Gordon to strike from a difficult angle and extend the lead to 3-1. This marked Gordon’s first Champions League goal for his new club and his sixth consecutive match finding the net for both club and country. Karim Adeyemi, who entered as a substitute in the 65th minute, added the fourth goal just seven minutes later, capitalizing on a loose ball following a pass from Yamal.
Throughout the contest, Barcelona dictated the tempo, commanding 71 percent possession and generating 22 total shots, 11 of which were on target compared to Galatasaray’s three. Although further opportunities were missed, the victory ensures Barcelona remains at the top of the Champions League standings. Lamine Yamal stood out as a key playmaker, contributing directly to two of the goals. This dominant performance underscores the momentum Flick’s squad has built as they continue to lead their domestic and European campaigns.
