Alis going to Malaysia for surgery

by Sports Desk

Aliss Al Islam sustained an injury during his last appearance in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). It was later revealed that the spinner would require knee surgery. However, despite nearly two months passing since the diagnosis, the operation has yet to take place.

Initially, it was reported that Aliss would undergo surgery at the FIFA Sports Medicine Centre in Bangkok. After the operation, he is expected to be out of action for at least 8 to 10 months, possibly even up to a year. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) also explored options in India for the procedure.

However, those plans did not materialize. The latest update confirms that Aliss will now undergo surgery in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is scheduled to leave Dhaka next Monday.

Upon arrival, he will consult with the doctor on Tuesday, a day after landing. The surgery date will be decided following the consultation. BCB’s physician Dr. Manzur Chowdhury will accompany Aliss throughout the trip.
