England Squad Announced with Tony

by Sports Desk

England have announced a 26-man squad ahead of next month’s World Cup qualifier and international friendly.

Striker Ivan Toney has been recalled to the national team for the matches against Andorra and Senegal, after an impressive season with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli. The 29-year-old last wore the England shirt in the Euro 2024 final. This season, he scored 28 goals in 42 matches in the Saudi Pro League.

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has also been included despite suffering from a shoulder injury. He is expected to undergo surgery after the Club World Cup.

Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, aged 25, has received his first-ever senior call-up.

A total of eight players from Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid—all of whom will participate in the upcoming Club World Cup—have been named in the squad. These include Bayern Munich captain Harry Kane, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, and Atletico Madrid’s Conor Gallagher.

England will face Andorra on June 7 in a World Cup qualifier, followed by a friendly against Senegal on June 10.
