Haliburton’s Triple-Double Powers Pacers Past Knicks for 3-1 Series Lead

INDIANAPOLIS — Tyrese Haliburton delivered a dominant performance with 32 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds — all without a turnover — as the Indiana Pacers defeated the New York Knicks 130-121 in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals on May 27. With the win, Indiana takes a commanding 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Haliburton, who drained five three-pointers, recorded his second career postseason triple-double and was instrumental in orchestrating the Pacers’ high-paced attack. Pascal Siakam contributed 30 points, Bennedict Mathurin added 20 off the bench, and Aaron Nesmith chipped in 16 points for the fourth-seeded Pacers.

The Knicks were led by Jalen Brunson with 31 points. Karl-Anthony Towns added 24 points and 12 rebounds, while OG Anunoby scored 22. Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart also contributed with 17 and 12 points, respectively, with Hart pulling down 11 rebounds.

Game 5 is set for May 29 at Madison Square Garden.

Nesmith, who injured his ankle in Game 3, was cleared to play shortly before tipoff. Myles Turner added 13 points for Indiana before fouling out. The Pacers shot 51.1% from the field and went 13-of-32 from three-point range. They again dominated in transition, outscoring the Knicks 22-9 on fast breaks, extending their series advantage in that category to 65-23.

The Knicks shot 46.3% from the floor and hit 12-of-28 from deep, while outrebounding Indiana 44-33.

Indiana opened the second half with a 7-0 run to cap off a 13-0 spurt, extending their lead to 76-64. New York cut the margin to 89-84 late in the third quarter, but Haliburton responded with a crucial three-pointer, and the Pacers closed the period up 102-91.

Siakam gave the Pacers their largest lead of the night at 111-96 with five quick points early in the fourth. The Knicks fought back to within six after a Towns putback made it 115-109 with just over four minutes remaining, but Indiana held firm. Obi Toppin’s three-pointer in the final minute sealed the victory, pushing the lead back to 10.

Haliburton was sensational in the first half, tallying 20 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds, helping Indiana take a 69-64 lead into halftime. Brunson had 16 points at the break for New York.
