Arrow McLaren Secures Multi-Year Partnership with Autonomous Trucking Leader Aurora

The Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team officially announced a multi-year partnership on Tuesday with Aurora Innovation, Inc. (NASDAQ: AUR), designating the self-driving technology developer as an official partner. Aurora is currently focused on revolutionizing the logistics sector through its proprietary Aurora Driver system, which allows Class 8 trucks to operate autonomously. This technology aims to address critical issues within the multi-trillion-dollar U.S. trucking industry, such as rising operational expenses, an aging workforce, and asset inefficiency, by providing safe and reliable capacity.

Aurora achieved a significant milestone last year by becoming the first firm to initiate a commercial self-driving service for heavy-duty trucks on public roads. Following the release of its second-generation driverless truck, the company is now scaling operations across the Sun Belt. The collaboration will debut with Aurora branding appearing on Arrow McLaren team apparel starting at the Portland International Raceway event scheduled for August 7-9. By the 2027 season, this partnership will expand to feature Aurora branding on driver firesuits and the engine cover of the No. 6 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet.

Aurora is transforming the movement of goods with the Aurora Driver, its self-driving system that enables a Class 8 truck to drive itself.
