Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza won the toss at Harare and invited Australia to bat first. The visitors laid a solid foundation through openers Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head. While captain Marsh contributed 53 off 63 balls, Travis Head dominated the attack, smashing an impressive 112 runs off just 84 deliveries, featuring 15 boundaries and three sixes.
Head continued to build the innings with Cooper Connolly, who added a valuable 78 runs off 69 balls with three fours and three sixes. Supported by a late 41-run cameo from Oliver Peak, Australia posted a formidable total of 356 runs in their 50 overs. For the hosts, Brad Evans stood out with three wickets, while Wellington Masakadza claimed two.
Chasing a daunting target of 357, Zimbabwe displayed a disciplined effort with contributions across the top and middle order. Captain Sikandar Raza led the charge with a team-high 45 runs, followed by Brendan Taylor with 39, Craig Ervine with 38, and Innocent Kaia with 34. Despite these efforts, the hosts struggled to keep up with the required scoring rate and lost wickets at regular intervals. Zimbabwe was eventually bundled out for 272 runs, with four Australian bowlers sharing two wickets apiece to seal the win and the series trophy.
