The Bangladesh cricket squad has concluded ten days of intensive training ahead of the upcoming Asian Games. As the specific conditions of the pitches in Aichi Nagoya remain largely unknown, the team management is developing versatile batting strategies to adapt to various scenarios.

Batting coach Mohammad Ashraful stated at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur that the team is analyzing footage from recent women’s matches to gauge pitch behavior. He emphasized that the training regimen focuses on flexibility, aiming to exceed 200 runs on high-quality tracks while preparing to secure wins with totals between 140 and 160 on more challenging surfaces.

The men’s cricket competition at the Asian Games commences this Thursday. Bangladesh is scheduled to begin their campaign in the quarterfinals on September 28, where they are set to face either Hong Kong or Oman.
