Women’s Red team lost to BD U15

The Bangladesh Boy’s Under-15 team thrashed Bangladesh Women’s Team Red by 87 runs in the second match of the Women’s Challenge Cup on Wednesday at the BKSP-3 ground.

A total of three teams are taking part in the tournament as part of the national women’s team’s preparation for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. Bangladesh Women’s Team Green is the other team in the tournament.

Team Red, which beat Team Green by 32 runs in the previous match, could not offer any resistance against the U15 boys.

After being sent in to bat first, the Boys U15 side posted 181 for 8 in 50 overs before bowling out Women’s Red for just 94 in 38 overs.

Captain Bayzid Bostami led the charge with 46.

Alimul Islam Adib claimed 3 for 12 and was well supported by Afridi Tariq and Abdul Aziz, who both took two wickets apiece as the U15 bowlers wreaked havoc on Women’s Red.

Only four Women’s Red batters reached double figures, with opener Sharmin Sultana top-scoring with 20.
