Pakistan Updates Bangladesh Series Schedule

by Sports Desk

Despite ongoing uncertainty surrounding Bangladesh’s tour of Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially released a revised schedule for the T20I series. The updated fixtures were sent to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today, Tuesday, and are currently awaiting BCB’s approval.

According to the new schedule, the five-match T20I series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will now begin on May 27, with the remaining matches set for May 29, June 1, June 3, and June 5.

There are no changes to the venues. As per the original plan, the first three matches will be played in Faisalabad, while the final two games are scheduled to take place in Lahore.

Although the BCB has yet to make an official decision regarding the tour, PCB’s announcement of the schedule marks a significant step toward organizing the series.

The series was initially set to begin on May 25, but uncertainty arose following the announcement of the resumption of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The PCB and Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, recently confirmed via X (formerly Twitter) that the remainder of the PSL will resume on May 17, with the final to be held on May 25—the original start date of the Bangladesh series—prompting the schedule change.
