The Bangladesh U-19 football team was scheduled to arrive in Dhaka from Kolkata today at 5 PM. However, due to inclement weather, the flight from Kolkata was unable to land in Dhaka and had to return to Kolkata. The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will announce a new arrival time once the weather improves and a revised flight schedule is confirmed.
Khalid Mahmud, the federation’s media executive and media manager for the U-19 team, reported from Kolkata, saying, “The flight attempted to land in Dhaka for quite some time but eventually had to return to Kolkata. At the moment, we are all still sitting inside the aircraft in Kolkata. We have no idea how long this wait will be.”
The Bangladesh U-19 team recently participated in the SAFF Championship held in Arunachal Pradesh, India, where they finished as runners-up after losing to India in a tiebreaker two nights ago. Yesterday, the team traveled from the tournament venue in Arunachal to Kolkata.
They were en route to Dhaka this afternoon on an Indigo Airlines flight, but due to adverse weather conditions, Nazmul, Murshed, and the rest of the team had to return to Kolkata.
