মোহামেডানও প্রথম ম্যাচে হারার পর টানা ছয় ম্যাচ জিতেছে এবং রয়েছে পয়েন্ট তালিকার দ্বিতীয় স্থানে। শেষ ম্যাচে মোহামেডান জিতলে ও শেল্টেক্ হারলে দুই দলের পয়েন্ট সমান ১৪ হতো। তবে টুর্নামেন্টের নিয়ম অনুযায়ী মুখোমুখি লড়াইয়ে এগিয়ে থাকায় আগেই চ্যাম্পিয়ন হয়ে গেছে শেল্টেক্।
রোববার ইউল্যাব মাঠে খেলাঘর সমাজ কল্যাণ সমিতিকে ৪ উইকেটে হারিয়ে শিরোপা নিশ্চিত করেছে নিগার সুলতানা জ্যোতির দল। আগে ব্যাটিং করতে নেমে খেলাঘর ৩৭.৫ ওভারে সব উইকেট হারিয়ে ১১৮ রান তোলে। দলের পক্ষে সর্বোচ্চ ২৩ রান করেন তাজিয়া আক্তার, আর অতিরিক্ত খাত থেকে আসে ২৭ রান।
শেল্টেকের হয়ে দুর্দান্ত বোলিং করেন ফাহিমা খাতুন ও জান্নাতুল ফেরদৌস, দুজনই নেন ৩টি করে উইকেট। তাদের দারুণ পারফরম্যান্সেই অভিষেক আসরেই চ্যাম্পিয়ন হওয়ার গৌরব অর্জন করল শেল্টেক্ স্পোর্টিং ক্লাব।

Sheltech Sporting Club made a stunning entry into the Women’s Premier League, clinching the championship in their very first season. The team set the tone early by defeating defending champions Mohammedan SC in the tournament’s opening match. Maintaining their dominance, Sheltech went on to win six consecutive matches, securing the title in style.
Mohammedan, despite losing their first match, also bounced back with six straight wins, securing the second spot on the points table. Even if Mohammedan wins their final match and Sheltech loses, both teams would have been tied at 14 points. However, as per tournament rules, the head-to-head record gives Sheltech the edge, confirming their championship victory in advance.
On Sunday, at the ULAB ground, Sheltech officially sealed the title by defeating Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity by four wickets. Batting first, Khelaghar struggled and managed only 118 runs in 37.5 overs, losing all wickets. Tazia Akter was the top scorer with 23 runs off 43 balls, while extras contributed 27 runs.
Sheltech’s bowling attack, led by Fahima Khatun and Jannatul Ferdous, was outstanding, with both bowlers taking three wickets each. With their brilliant all-around performance, Sheltech Sporting Club has made history by winning the Women’s Premier League in their debut season.
