Real Bring Back Argentine Nico Paz

by Sports Desk

Nico Paz, a homegrown product of Real Madrid, is an Argentine attacking midfielder who featured in eight matches and scored one goal for the club last season. At the start of the current season, he was loaned out to Italian club Como.

Under the guidance of Cesc Fabregas, Paz enjoyed an impressive campaign at Como, scoring six goals in 33 appearances. Now, the 20-year-old’s strong performances have prompted Real Madrid to consider bringing him back.

According to reports from Spanish media, cited by renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Real Madrid board is actively considering Paz’s return. Though still officially on loan at Como, Real would need to pay €8 million to bring him back. The club has no objections to this clause, as confirmed by sources close to Florentino Pérez’s board.

Born in Spain, Nico Paz joined Real Madrid’s youth academy, La Fabrica, at the age of 11. In the 2022 season, he earned a spot in Real Madrid Castilla, where he scored 11 goals in 49 appearances, eventually earning a promotion to the first team.

Internationally, Paz has already made two appearances for the Argentina national team. Head coach Lionel Scaloni sees him as a potential backup to Alexis Mac Allister in midfield. Paz has also been named in Argentina’s preliminary squad for the upcoming June World Cup qualifiers.
