Messi and Ronaldo Play Together Club World Cup!

by Sports Desk

For billions of football fans around the world, seeing Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo play together on the same team has been nothing short of a dream. But from the start of their careers to now, the two eternal rivals have never shared a team. However, a recent comment from FIFA President Gianni Infantino may just give fans a reason to hope.

The FIFA Club World Cup is set to take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13. As the host nation’s representative, Lionel Messi’s club Inter Miami will be participating in the tournament. Cristiano Ronaldo’s club, Al Nassr, did not qualify for the 32-team competition. Still, rumours are swirling around Inter Miami — the club reportedly wants to bring in Messi’s long-time rival, Ronaldo! And according to sources, Messi himself has already given his approval to club co-owner David Beckham.

The latest buzz suggests that Beckham is actively trying to persuade Ronaldo to join Inter Miami. Amid these speculations, FIFA President Infantino made a striking statement in an interview with the YouTube channel iShowSpeed. He said, “Cristiano might play in the Club World Cup. Talks are ongoing. Who knows, maybe a club will sign him. There are still a few weeks left. It would be fun.”

Meanwhile, Argentine outlet TyC Sports claims that alongside Ronaldo, Real Madrid’s Croatian legend Luka Modrić could also join Inter Miami after this season. Although Infantino didn’t mention any specific clubs, he made his hopes clear: “I want to see them play together. Can you imagine if they both play in this tournament? It would be something truly special.”
