Mohamed Salah has been named the Premier League Player of the Season for the 2024–25 campaign.
Although one round of matches still remains, the Premier League authorities announced the winner of the prestigious award on Saturday.
This is the second time the Egyptian striker has claimed the honour, having first won it in the 2017–18 season. The 32-year-old forward secured the award this time through a combination of fan votes and input from football experts.
Dutch manager Arne Slot took over as Liverpool head coach at the start of the season, succeeding Jürgen Klopp. Under his guidance, the team found excellent form early on and went on to secure the league title with four games to spare. Salah played a crucial role in this success, consistently scoring and assisting throughout the campaign.
So far, he has netted 28 goals—making him the top scorer of the competition—and also leads the assists chart with 18, highlighting his all-around brilliance this season.
