Former Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky was admitted to the ICU due to a heart-related illness.

He was taken to the hospital last Tuesday and quickly moved to the intensive care unit for urgent examinations. After undergoing necessary medical tests, doctors confirmed that the 44-year-old Rosicky does not currently require surgery, according to a statement from Sparta Prague.

Rosicky, a key part of Arsenal’s 2014 FA Cup-winning squad, has since been discharged from the hospital and is now recovering at home under medical supervision. He is expected to make a full recovery.

In an official statement on their website, Sparta Prague expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and love from fans for Rosicky. The club also requested that his supporters remain calm during this critical time.

“Last Tuesday, our sporting director Tomas Rosicky was unexpectedly admitted to the intensive care unit due to heart-related complications,” the club announced.

Rosicky captained the Czech Republic national team for a decade and played club football for Sparta Prague, Borussia Dortmund, and Arsenal. He is currently serving as Sparta Prague’s sporting director.
