Son Heung-min Adopts ‘Wait and See’ Approach on Tottenham Future Amid Saudi Links

by Sports Desk

Son Heung-min has left his Tottenham future uncertain, saying he will “wait and see” amid links to a possible move to Saudi Arabia. The South Korean forward, with one year left on his contract, played a key role in Tottenham’s Europa League win in May, ending a 17-year trophy drought.

Speaking after South Korea’s 4-0 World Cup qualifying win over Kuwait, Son said, “No matter where I end up, I will always give my best.”

Despite a tough Premier League season and the sacking of coach Ange Postecoglou, Son remains determined to bounce back stronger next year. Tottenham are reportedly set to appoint Brentford’s Thomas Frank as their new manager.

Internationally, South Korea secured qualification for the 2026 World Cup, finishing top of their group.

Off the field, Son faces legal issues as two South Koreans—including his alleged ex-girlfriend—have been charged with blackmail over claims related to an alleged pregnancy. Son denied the demands and filed a complaint; both suspects remain in custody awaiting trial.
