OKC Thunder, Indiana Pacers Battle for Momentum in Pivotal Game 3 of NBA Finals

The NBA Finals are all square after two games, with the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder trading wins. Game 3 tips off in Indianapolis on June 11 (June 12, Singapore time), marking the Pacers’ first home Finals game since 2000.

Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who has 72 points through two games, led OKC to a dominant 123-107 win in Game 2 after Tyrese Haliburton’s game-winning floater sealed Game 1. Haliburton, battling a “lower body thing,” remains focused on playing despite limited mobility.

Pacers coach Rick Carlisle urged his team to reset, saying, “Everything that’s already happened doesn’t matter.”

Oklahoma City is expected to keep the pressure on Haliburton, whose five turnovers in Game 2 contributed to Indiana’s struggles. Carlisle emphasized the need to limit mistakes while maintaining offensive pace.

Thunder coach Mark Daigneault, known for his lineup versatility, said the goal remains simple: win the possession battle—through turnovers, rebounding, or strategic flexibility.

Game 3 promises key adjustments, renewed energy, and a race to gain momentum in this tightly contested series.
