Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has confirmed that all ticket holders for the abandoned match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday will receive a full refund. The match, scheduled for May 17, was called off due to persistent rain.
In an official statement, RCB said, “Due to adverse weather conditions, the match on May 17 was abandoned. All valid ticket holders will be refunded the full amount.”
For digital ticket holders, the refund will be processed within 10 working days and credited to the original payment account. Those who purchased tickets in person can claim their refund by submitting the tickets at the designated official outlets.
Currently, RCB tops the points table with 17 points from 12 matches. A win in either of their remaining two games will secure their place in the playoffs. Gujarat Titans are in second place with 16 points.
RCB’s remaining matches are against the eliminated Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 23, and an away game against Lucknow Super Giants on May 27.
Meanwhile, the washout confirmed Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) elimination from the IPL. The defending champions had a disappointing campaign from the start and are now sixth in the standings with 11 points from 13 matches. Even if they win their final game, they can only reach 13 points—insufficient for a playoff spot.
