Real Madrid maintained their strong momentum in La Liga by securing a 3-0 away win against Racing Santander at the El Sardinero Stadium, marking their fourth consecutive league victory. Coming off an El Clásico triumph against Barcelona, JosĂ© Mourinho’s side dominated early on. Kylian MbappĂ© opened the scoring in the 11th minute from the penalty spot after being fouled inside the box by Matteo Prati, taking the French forward’s league goal tally to 12 this season.
Jude Bellingham doubled the visitors’ lead ten minutes later, latching onto a pass from Arda GĂĽler, slicing through the defense, and rounding the goalkeeper to finish. Yan Diomande added a third in the 36th minute when the Ivoirian forward struck a brilliant volley from outside the penalty area following a cleared corner kick. Meanwhile, in another match, Barcelona achieved a resounding 6-0 victory against AlavĂ©s.
Although Real Madrid slowed their tempo after building a comfortable three-goal cushion before halftime, they continued to create chances in the second half. Mbappé saw an effort rebound off the post, while Bellingham had a second goal ruled out for offside. Racing Santander were initially awarded a penalty in the second half following an alleged handball by Aurélien Tchouaméni, but the referee overturned the decision after a VAR review, leaving the scoreline unchanged at full time.
The result leaves Real Madrid third in the La Liga standings with 27 points from 11 matches. Barcelona lead the table with 30 points, while Atlético Madrid sit second on 28 points from the same number of games. Racing Santander remain in 13th position with 11 points.
