President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the UAE youth handball team, alongside their technical and administrative staff, to celebrate the squad’s qualification for the 2027 World Championship. During the reception, the President extended his congratulations to the players, staff, and fans, expressing his hope that this milestone would provide significant momentum for the future of UAE sports.
His Highness also commended the team for securing second place in the 19th Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship. He noted that the team’s accomplishments at both the continental and international levels are a source of national pride and reflect positively on the country’s sporting development. Sheikh Mohamed underscored that sports remain an integral component of the UAE’s comprehensive progress, emphasizing the need for the sector to keep pace with the nation’s continued growth across all fields.
