Oaktree Capital Reportedly Initiates Process to Sell Inter Milan After Two-Year Tenure

Oaktree had provided a loan to previous owners Suning, and when the Chinese company failed to keep up repayments, the team was effectively repossessed in the summer of 2024.

That is astonishing considering Inter ran at a loss of €245m in the wake of the pandemic in 2021.

It always seemed to be the plan for the American investment fund to get Inter back on track, bring down their debts and boost revenue, so that it could be sold on at a profit down the line.

According to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, that time is fast approaching, because it is reported Oaktree are starting the process of finding buyers.

It is not considered to be an urgent matter, but the idea of a sale has always been there for Oaktree.

With this in mind, they want to keep the accounts in order and not spend too much on transfers this summer.

Maybe we’ll get owners that will actually put money into the club and get some real talent here for a change.
