During the briefing, he expressed his deepest condolences to Messi and emphasized the collective support of the national team squad. He noted that he has not yet been able to speak directly with the captain, as Messi is currently traveling from Miami to his hometown of Rosario to lay his father to rest.
Regarding the communication, Paredes remarked, “I have not been able to speak with him. I know he is in the middle of a journey.
