In the second encounter, the team chased down a target of 106 runs in just 7.4 overs, powered by a destructive batting display from Jishan Alam, who remained unbeaten on 57 off 21 balls, featuring seven sixes.
Opting to bat first at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Malaysia faced early pressure. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, they managed a recovery through a 58-run third-wicket partnership between captain Syed Aziz and Ahmad Akmal Alif Bin Ahmad Zaki (Ahmad Akmal). While Ahmad Akmal contributed 30 runs off 33 balls and captain Aziz scored 40 off 52 deliveries, Malaysia could only post a total of 105 for 4 in their allotted 20 overs.
The Bangladeshi bowling attack was led by Abu Hider Rony, who claimed two wickets, while Mohammad Rubel and Rakibul Islam chipped in with one wicket each. The chase began aggressively as Jishan and Jawad Abrar looked to score quickly. Despite Jawad Abrar falling for 23 off 8 balls and Ariful Islam departing for 4 runs off 3 balls in the same over, the momentum remained firmly with Bangladesh.
Jishan continued his onslaught, forming a 50-run partnership with Sabbir Rahman to steer the side toward victory. After Sabbir was dismissed for 12 off 8 balls, Jishan partnered with Shamim Patwari to finish the game. Jishan reached his half-century in just 18 balls, finishing the match with an unbeaten 57, while Shamim remained not out on 8 off 6 balls. For Malaysia, Arif Ullah took two wickets and Prashant Maduka claimed one.
