At the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Dhaka declared their first innings at 547-6, propelled by exceptional performances from Marshal Ayub and Mahidul Islam Ankon. The pair shared a massive 320-run partnership for the third wicket, setting a new record for Dhaka in the tournament’s history. Marshal contributed 175 runs, while Ankon scored 105. In response, hosts Sylhet finished the day at 154-2.
Meanwhile, in Cox’s Bazar, Chittagong built a substantial total against Barisal, ending the day at 479-4 with a lead of 197 runs. Opener Sadikur Rahman continued his fine form by scoring 149, marking his second consecutive century. He was joined in the milestone by Shahadat Hossain, who remained unbeaten on 101 at the close of play.
Khulna’s Mehedi Hasan showcased his all-round prowess. After taking six wickets on Saturday to dismantle Rajshahi for just 119, he displayed his batting skills on Sunday. Batting at number eight, Mehedi scored 104 off 118 balls before falling as the ninth wicket. This marks his seventh first-class century, helping his team reach a total of 463 runs by stumps.
Elsewhere, at the Sylhet Academy Ground, Mymensingh concluded the day at 183-6, trailing Rangpur’s first-innings total by 239 runs. Rangpur, who had resumed the day at 370-6, eventually declared their innings at 422-9, setting up a challenging task for their opponents in the remaining days of the fixture.
