Cricket West Indies (CWI) has officially confirmed its list of contracted players for the 2026-27 season, covering the period from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027. The annual renewal features 15 senior men’s retainer contracts, 15 senior women’s contracts, and three additional development deals. Matthew Forde, Amir Jangoo and Mandy Mangru have earned their maiden West Indies international retainer contracts, while John Campbell has returned to the contracted group after seven years, as Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced its list of contracted players for the 2026-27 season on Thursday (November 5).

For the first time in their careers, Matthew Forde, Amir Jangoo, and Mandy Mangru have earned international retainer contracts. These selections follow standout performances, with Forde emerging as a premier Powerplay threat, having claimed 10 T20I and six ODI wickets in that phase over the last year. Jangoo’s inclusion follows his significant impact in the Test arena, highlighted by a notable 233-run knock against Sri Lanka in Antigua this past June. His record-breaking 401-run sixth-wicket partnership with Test captain Roston Chase set a new global benchmark in the format. Making him the leading West Indies bowler in that phase across both white-ball formats, forde claimed 10 Powerplay wickets in T20Is and six in ODIs over the past year.

The announcement also marks the return of John Campbell to the central contract list after a seven-year absence. His resurgence is attributed to a stellar 2025-26 campaign, which included a maiden Test century—an unbeaten 115 against India in Delhi—and a 68-ball 101 in an ODI against the same opponent in Guwahati last September.

In the women’s contingent, Mandy Mangru secured her maiden contract following her key contributions to the side that advanced to the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup semi-finals. Existing two-year contracts remain in effect for players including Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Justin Greaves, Jomel Warrican, Deandra Dottin, and Chinelle Henry.

CWI also awarded development contracts to Jewel Andrew, Ackeem Auguste, and Vitel Lawes, marking a debut for the latter two. CWI Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe stated that these development agreements are designed to integrate players into the international set-up, providing a supportive environment to guide their growth as they compete for regular selection. Finally, the board clarified that international eligibility remains open for all players, regardless of whether they have been awarded a central contract.
