Barcelona have entered the hunt for Fulham’s promising 19-year-old talent Josh King, joining a growing list of top-tier European clubs tracking the teenager. His impressive development at the London club has caught the attention of scouts, though Barcelona currently face stiff competition from several rivals. The London side are not planning to sell at present.
Premier League giants Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool are reportedly at the front of the queue to secure his services. Beyond the English contingent, the youngster is also attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Leipzig, and Inter Milan. King is currently part of a broader scouting list that includes American talents such as Colorado Rapids’ Lucas Herrington (19), Niko Ilicevic (15), and Philadelphia Union’s Cavan Sullivan (17). Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham join battle for Barcelona star Dani Olmo caughtoffside.
Despite the high-profile attention, Fulham remain in a strong negotiating position as King is under contract until 2029. Currently, the club does not intend to part ways with the midfielder. However, a potential relegation battle could alter the landscape, potentially prompting the teenager to seek a more ambitious project elsewhere when the summer window arrives. Which might increase the chances of a move next summer, their poor Premier League start could shift the landscape if relegation threatens.
A product of the Fulham academy, King joined the club at age eight and officially received his first-team call-up in 2024. Operating as a playmaker under coach Alvaro Arbeloa, he has already logged 427 minutes of action and scored twice in five appearances. His early contributions have drawn praise from teammates and solidified his role in Arbeloa’s tactical plans. Born in 2007, King joined Fulham at the age of eight and progressed through the academy. His early impact has impressed team-mates and strengthened his place in the Spaniard’s plans.
