The Dallas Wings are set for a major venue upgrade, announcing that they will relocate to the American Airlines Center beginning with the 2027 WNBA season. The news was shared on Monday via the team’s official X account, featuring a video with star guard Paige Bueckers and head coach Jose Fernandez. After the duo welcomed fans, Dallas-based recording artist BigXThaPlug officially revealed the move to the new arena, which will replace the team’s current home at the College Park Center.
The transition to the American Airlines Center—the home of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks—represents a significant increase in capacity for the franchise. While the College Park Center accommodates approximately 8,000 spectators, the new venue can host roughly 20,000 fans per game. The announcement drew immediate attention from supporters, with some social media users praising Bueckers and teammate Azzi Fudd for their role in revitalizing the franchise’s trajectory.
Bueckers has been instrumental in the Wings’ success this season, leading the team to a 19-11 record and fifth place in the current standings.
