The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially announced a 15-member Bangladesh High Performance (HP) squad set to compete in the upcoming Top End T20 series. Experienced cricketer Irfan Sukkur has been entrusted with the captaincy for this tour. The team is scheduled to depart for Australia on August 14 to prepare for the tournament, which commences on August 21 in Darwin.
This competitive event will feature a diverse lineup of participants, including the Nepal national team, New Zealand ‘A’, the host side NT Strike, and the Big Bash League franchise Hobart Hurricanes, alongside various Australian academy teams. The squad includes several established and promising talents, such as Sabbir Rahman, Shamim Hossain Patwary, Ripon Mondol, Mrittunjoy Chowdhury, and Jishan Alam. Officials believe this overseas experience will serve as a vital opportunity for the development of these young cricketers.
