Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has officially appointed Hashan Tillakaratne as the batting coach for the Senior Men’s Program. In this role, the 59-year-old will work closely with national team players at the SLC’s National High Performance Center to refine their technical skills and performance consistency.
Coaching Pedigree and Tenure
Tillakaratne brings extensive coaching experience to the position. His background includes previous stints as the batting coach for the Sri Lanka men’s team and as head coach for the women’s national side. Additionally, he served as the head coach of the Bangladesh women’s national team. His new contract is effective immediately and runs through December 31, 2027. The report also notes that his appointment takes effect immediately and continues until December 31, 2027.
