Towhid Hridoy has etched his name into the history books of Bangladesh cricket with a monumental performance on South African soil. Playing for the Bangladesh ‘A’ team against their South African counterparts in a four-day match, the right-handed batter delivered an extraordinary 350-run innings. This feat marks the highest individual score ever recorded by a Bangladeshi player in professional cricket.
Record-Breaking Milestone
Hridoy reached his double century yesterday in Potchefstroom before accelerating to hit the 350-run milestone today. This achievement also stands as the first triple century ever scored by a Bangladeshi batter on foreign soil. He surpassed the previous record held by former captain and current BCB President Tamim Iqbal, who scored 334 runs for the East Zone against Central Zone in the 2019 Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) at Mirpur.
