The sixth edition of the Seashore Phoenix Games, held recently in Qatar, saw a historic performance from UAE athletes, who claimed all three top spots in the team standings. CrossFit Al Ain secured the gold medal, while RIG UAE and QHP Coal UAE followed in second and third place, respectively. The event, a prominent fitness competition, drew over 400 athletes from more than 40 nations, with men’s events occurring from September 10 to 12 and women’s events following from September 13 to 14.
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, attended the games to observe the competition. During his visit, he met with key figures including Khalid Abdullah Al Hammadi, General Manager of Irada Fitness; Khalid Abdulaziz Nabina, Chairman of the organizing committee; and Nasser Abdullah Al Hajri, Acting General Manager of Aspire Logistics.
Sheikh Abdullah received briefings on the technical, logistical, and organizational preparations managed by the Aspire Zone Foundation. He emphasized that his presence underscored the federation’s dedication to aligning with international standards in fitness sports and strengthening collaborative ties with Gulf-based sports organizations.
The federation head noted that the exchange of expertise is vital for fostering development within the fitness sector and providing Emirati athletes with increased opportunities to compete on regional and global stages. As a gesture of appreciation, he presented commemorative shields to Irada Fitness, the event organizers, and the Aspire Zone Foundation for their successful hosting of the games.
A special commemorative shield was also presented to Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Visit Qatar, recognizing his support for the event’s success. Sheikh Abdullah praised the participating UAE teams for their consistent achievements and dedication to the sport.
Individual competitions saw equally strong performances from UAE representatives. In the men’s RX category, Ridwan Al Ghadwani took first place, with Mustafa Al Salhi finishing as the runner-up and Hamza Maher rounding out the top three.
The Masters category also highlighted local talent, as Dennis Katana clinched first place, followed by Khalifa Al Sabri in second and Ragheed Al Ghazi in third. Furthermore, the UAE dominated the National Teams category, with Irada – Al Hashimi taking the top spot, while Irada – Legacy and Irada Al Khor – No Fear finished second and third, respectively. The report also notes that UAE teams claimed the top three places at the sixth edition of the Seashore Phoenix Games 2026, a fitness competition held in Qatar.
