Despite these reports, a spokesperson for the Premier League declined to provide comment on the matter.
In a formal response, Manchester City reiterated that the legal process remains active, involving significant unresolved elements that are protected by strict confidentiality agreements. The club stands by its February 2023 statement, asserting that it has respected due process for eight years under the expectation that the Premier League would operate as a fair and independent regulator. Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak later issued an open letter, expressing deep confidence in the club’s legal position.
